My Bosmer Vlandra, part 1

I decided to change all entries in this blog in English, because it's easier and more natural to write about games that way for me. I decided to introduce all my characters.

Bosmer aka Wood Elves are one of the races in Elder Scrolls lore. They also call themselves Boiche or Tree-Sap people, and hail from Valenwood, a coastal province full of lush forests and blue rivers.

The Bosmer are much smaller in stature than the Altmer or Dunmer people, and are well suited to be scouts, archers, thieves, traders and scholars. They are the best archers in all of Tamriel, and Vlandra is no exception. She specializes in sneaking, and shooting targets with arrows dipped in self-crafted poisons.

The Bosmer worship Y'ffre, a forest deity. They believe, that in the creation of mortal plane everything was in chaos. Mortals were turning into plants and animals, just to turn back again. Then, Y'ffre transformed himself into Ehlnofey ("The Earth Bones"), becoming the laws of nature. After that, the mortals had a feeling of safety, because they could understand the world at last. Y'ffre taught the first Bosmer ancient knowledge of the chaos times, that some of them still possess.

Vlandra has not ever been religious in the same way as we see it. In her world the simple concept of right and wrong doesn't exist, only the right survive any way possible. She has seen humans despising the Mer as long as she can remember, and seen them claiming the Mer as a weaker race, especially Bosmer, who don't have power and arms the same way as the Altmer do. She has her own, secret world of knowledge, which is a gift from the Nature rather than a simple skill of combat.
